Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre was opened in September 2018, to enhance the experience of those visiting and staying on campus.
This 185-bedroom hotel and conference centre sits in landscaped gardens off Edgbaston Park Road, and can also be accessed by footpath behind the North East multi-storey car park. The hotel provides flexible meeting rooms accommodate from 12 to 250, ideal for everything from conferences and breakout sessions to weddings and celebrations. It can also be combined with other campus venues.
The development included the restoration of two of the University’s historic properties, located on the same site. Grade II-listed Garth House was built in the Arts and Crafts tradition in 1900. Hornton Grange, built in 1928, is a classic redbrick former family home. Both have been sympathetically restored with period details and bespoke bedroom furniture. Hornton Grange has also been extended, offering a new skylit venue for up to 150.
